DETROIT (AP) - Jimmy Howard made 27 saves last night to lead the Detroit Red Wings past the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 in Game 4 of their second-round series. Jakub Kindl and Daniel Cleary scored for the Red Wings, who lead the series 3-1. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was called for three penalties in the second period.

DETROIT (AP) - Prince Fielder hit a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning last night to give the Detroit Tigers a 7-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Miguel Cabrera added a home run and three RBIs for the Tigers, who won their third straight. Josh Willingham homered twice for the Twins.

DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Tigers have teamed up with the Michigan State Police and AAA Michigan to promote teen-driving safety. Representatives from each organization spoke yesterday at Comerica Park to outline efforts designed to encourage safe driving among teens this Memorial Day weekend. The Tigers say a teenager has won tickets to today's game and will throw out the first pitch.

Michael Bourn and Yan Gomes added two RBIs each for the Indians. David Ortiz smacked a three-run homer for Boston.
