A new program has been launched by the Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce designed to encourage the community to shop and buy at local establishments. The try it local program is an incentive to use intentionally locally owned businesses. Alter Ego, Biggby Coffee, Hawthorn Hills Golf Club and Westgate Lanes are the first to participate in the program. Not only does a local business want customers to buy local, it keeps the money local in the community. Andy Johnston with Westgate Lanes says the investment locally benefits everyone.
The Delphos and Ottawa Chambers are also partnering with the Lima Allen County Chamber in this try it local program.
