While most 12 year old girls spent their Saturday morning sleeping in, Abigail Stallkamp spent hers helping the less fortunate.
Volunteers from the Harvest for the Hungry Program gave their time to help pack boxes of food for those in need.
As cars lined up for the Big Drop, the food went fast. The event was scheduled from 9 until Noon this weekend, but the need was so great that food ran out after just an hour. Volunteers had to turn some families away, but Pastor Bryan Bucher says they hope to feed double the amount of people next month.
Although they couldn't feed everyone Bucher says the event showed him how many community members, even the smallest ones, want to make a difference.
