Inside a cramped University of Findlay television studio, the four republican candidates running for Hancock county commissioner participated in a 90 minute forum Monday night designed to give the public a chance to hear from the candidates themselves.
Incumbent commissioner Ed Ingold is hoping to be elected to a third term. He faces challenger Brian Robertson, a Findlay businessman.
Incumbent commissioner Emily Walton is not running for another term. Those vying for her seat include Tom Shindledecker, otherwise known as Tom Sheldon, retired news director for WFIN/WKXA radio and Mark Gazarek, a Marion township trustee.
The candidates touched on issues like flood mitigation and economic development during the program.
The forum was broadcast live on WFIN radio and on channel 20 on Findlay's Time Warner Cable system.
