Donoho goes to prison

Posted: Updated:

A Findlay man will spend at least 29 years in prison for the beating death of his wife.

Evan Donoho pled guilty Thursday to murder and two counts of tampering with evidence for beating his wife Danielle to death back in September and dumping her body in a corn field.

The plea deal came suddenly after a separate investigation was about to lead to the filing of two child pornography-related charges against Donoho.

Investigators say his seized computer had photos and videos of children involved in sexual acts, material Donoho had downloaded from web sites.

Tensions remained high as Donoho addressed the victim's family.

Donoho also entered guilty pleas to two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented...those pictured were not local children according to prosecutors.

After all the counts were tallied, Judge Joseph Niemeyer sentenced Donoho to life in prison with a chance for parole after 29 years.

Investigators believe Donoho fatally beat his wife Danielle with a hammer back in September, dumped her body out in the country, and threw the hammer as far away from the scene as possible.

He will also have to register as a sex offender if and when he is released from prison.
