Supporters of a group that is working to help clean up Grand Lake St. Marys came out to Romer's in Celina Saturday night for a beach party.
Five-hundred-fifty tickets were sold to the beach party which included Jimmy Buffet Tribute band The Parrots of the Caribbean.
The event got everybody in the mood for summer and the chance to get back on the lake.
For the past several summers there's been advisory warnings against contacting the water due to harmful algae blooms. Lake Improvement Association President Tim Lovett says they are hoping that they will see the health advisories lifted.
All of the proceeds from the beach party go towards the Lake Improvement Association and their effort towards saving Grand Lake St. Marys.
