Lima City School officials make a plea for new money.
Board of Education member Ann Miles speaking during the mayor's press conference, and Assistant Superintendent Jill Ackerman addressing the Lima Noon Optimist Club about the need for additional funds.
A combination levy will be up for vote during the March primary. If passed, the levy could offset operating and permanent improvement expenses. The five year levy is estimated to generate about $1.8 million.
Miles says the district has made major concessions in the last few years. If passed, the levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about 51 cents a day.
