Some Wapakoneta businesses are growing and the Chamber took time to applaud their efforts.
Seven Wapak businesses were recognized through the eighth annual Progress Awards, a nice pat on the back for those expanding their operations locally.
Several of those honored made effective use of state and federal grant dollars to grow.
The Chamber's Ron Gasior says it just shows that the Wapak area is getting some recognition for a long list of home-grown businesses who just keep adding on.
Among the winners was FAB Rehab services which has grown from one to four offices and now serves six counties.
They specialize in outpatient physical therapy and have been able to increase employment by 150 percent and net income by about sixty percent.
Award winners actually submit an application for the annual awards program with chamber committee members helping determine the winners.
They look for things like added physical growth at the facility along with increased payrolls and expanding product sales.
