Allen County -
It will be at least a couple of weeks before the remains of Nicholle Coppler are released back to the family.
The family contacted the Lucas County coroners office and was given the time estimate. It is then that the family said they will write her obituary and begin planning a service that the public is welcome to attend.
However, the family is requesting the burial be private.
The remains were found on February 8th during a demolition at the former home of Glen Fryer, a person of interest in Nicolle's disappearance over 12 years ago.
The 55 year old hung himself in a jail cell in 2002 before talking police about the case.
After finding the remains, the Lima police have ruled the case a homicide. It is an active case.
The police are currently reviewing past tips and information they have received about Nicolle's disappearance.
