Police seize drugs, drug growing equipment and firearms at a Lima home.
Wednesday Lima police officers patrolling the area near the 300 block of S. Pine Street smelled the odor of raw marijuana. The scent soon led them to this house located at 396 S. Pine Street.
After the residents declined to allow police officers to search the house, police contacted members of the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force that responded and obtained a search warrant.
Officers searched the house and found a large marijuana growing operation inside.
The officers seized nearly 17 kilograms of marijuana, 2 shotguns and a pistol and grow equipment including lights, pots and fans.
No arrests were made at the time.
The case will be submitted to the Allen County grand jury at a later date.
