
Although unemployment has seen a slight decrease in the region there are still many people out there looking for jobs, and according to an area agency there are advanced manufacturing positions going unfilled.
The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium includes some of the areas most prominent companies and they are looking for employees.
The Pathways class is a free course covering basic math and measurement, quality, general manufacturing terminology and processes along with soft skills.
Manufacturing jobs have changed over the years and companies are looking for employees with the right skills. Doug Durliat with Pathways says some believe they have those skills when applying but soon find out they don't.
