Drivers have noticed construction season has well been underway here in Allen County, as many have noticed that the I-75 project has begun.
ODOT District One Deputy Director Kirk Slusher says they are ahead of schedule due to good weather, as the Fourth Street bridge is gone. Crews are in the process of building up the foundations to hold the new structure. Progress is also being made at the Reservoir Road bridge and it is scheduled to come down at the beginning of May.
Slusher wants to remind motorists that there will inconveniences as the overpasses begin to close during the project, but they will do their best to ease the pain. Slusher says that they will maintain two lanes in both north and south bound during the actual resurfacing of I-75.
