Fitness was in the air today as the Heritage Trails Park District hosted their April showers hike along the Miami Canal.
Hundred participants came out today and in addition to the walk, they also got to enjoy tasty Dannon yogurt, water and have face screenings all at no cost. Today's hike was part of a yearlong challenge associated with the Grand Lake Health Systems road to fitness, which is a unique year long program encouraging Grand Lake area residents to hike, bike, and walk all in the name of fitness.
At the end of year long challenge participants can win an I-pod, heart monitor or a bike.
If you missed this road to fitness challenge this weekend, there are more events planned at the Heritage Trails Park District. To see a full list of upcoming events check out their website. http://htparks.org/
