The Lion's Club is dedicated to detecting early problems in vision after making a pact with Helen Keller in the late 1920's.
Children ages three to five were welcome to come in for two styles of testing. The first, referred to as the sure-eye test, determined if the child was near sighted or far sighted. The second helped to determine whether the child was a possible candidate for some of the most common eye diseases.
