Elida grad returns home to direct film

Elida transforms from a small town to a movie set this weekend.

Crews from an independent film were at the home of Kayla Erb-Lane today shooting some scenes inside the home. On Saturday they filmed at Elida Road Tire.

Erb-Lane is a 2011 graduate of Elida High School and is currently a freshman at Huntington University in Indiana majoring in film production.

She's already got one short film under her belt which premiered in Fort Wayne.

This movie is called "To Turn Back Time."

Erb-Lane hopes to enter the short film in the Northwest Ohio Independent Film Festival which will be held at Lima's Civic Center this summer.
