Fundraiser for Veterans Memorial Park in Spencerville - Hometownstations.com-WLIO- Lima, OH News Weather Sports

Spencerville area residents got together today to help pay for a Veterans Park that is currently under construction.

Local businesses and individuals donated items to be auctioned off to help defray the costs of the park.

Items up for auction included anything from Ohio State memorabilia to a mobility scooter.

Past VFW State Commander George Cox says this fundraiser will go a long way to helping them reach their goals.

The park, located at the corner of Sixth and Main street in Spencerville is expected to be dedicated at 2 o'clock on Memorial Day.
