The city of Lima saw a need in the community and they responded with a 160 foot solution.
City and county officials along with area residents watched as the huge bowl of the new water tower creped its way into place Thursday morning
The tower has the capacity to hold 1 point 5 millions gallons of water and will serve the south west part of Lima on many levels.
Not only will it give better water pressure to area residents it will also help in firefighting and economic development.
The tower also offers an opportunity to advertise the county with it's branding of "Real American Strength".
The logo on the tower faces Interstate 75 and can be seen by thousands of drivers a day.
The tower still has work to be done before water can be running through it which could be as early as mid to late June.
