Stores worldwide give out free comic books

People across the world celebrating Free Comic Book Day, including Lima's very own Alter Ego Comics.

The goal for Saturday's event was to share the experience that is created when artistic pictures are added to fully-detailed stories.

Alter Ego Comics offering three free comic books to every person who walked in the door, helping to add to the 3.3 million comic books that were given away by participating stores throughout the world.

Owner Marc Bowker believes comic books can have a place in everyone's lives.

Alter Ego and other area comic book stores are open on weekdays, and offer a variety of comics, including the avengers comic, which as you may know, has resulted in a blockbuster hit on the big screen.
