Another delay in legal proceedings against a Lima man accused of strangulating a woman to death earlier this year.
Fifty one year old Raymond Collins Jr. had pled not guilty by reason of insanity in the murder of 43 year old Teresa Burge. She was found dead in a bedroom at 1119 Holmes Ave. on January 27th by Lima police officers.
In a competency hearing this afternoon before Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Reed, Collins' attorney Jerry Pitts requested a second competency evaluation be performed at taxpayer expense.
Judge Reed granted that request.
No new court dates have been set pending the completion of the second set of evaluations.
