42 year old Rex Keysor of Middlepoint was taken into custody at about 3:30 Monday morning.
A concerned citizen reported a suspicious person at the Lickity Split restaurant on North West Street. A sheriff deputy found a door open and called for back up. At that point a person, believed to be Keysor ran out of the building to a waiting car at the Clark Gas Station across the street. A high speed chase ensued.
Keysor eventually lost control of his vehicle and fled on foot. He was caught by deputies in the 700 block of Elizabeth Street. He faces charges of fleeing an officer, breaking and entering and multiple traffic violations.
