Waynesfield Goshen has had the same logo for decades. The rather simple tiger logo was recently changed to be more modern, but many community members are upset.
The school's athletic boosters held a competition asking people to submit new logo designs, with the winners design being approved on April 9th. The new design uses sharper lines, bolder color combinations, and has a more aggressive appearance.
After receiving negative feedback about the logo, school officials opened the possibility for community members and students to enter their own logos for consideration. Receiving 28 different designs, students voted on their favorite design today before leaving.
With many people wanting to keep tradition, the logos were also mailed out to alumni to allow them to have the opportunity to voice their opinion and mail in their choices. The final decision will be made on May 14th when the winner will present the logo to board members.
