Pandora, Ohio -
Bill and Mary Kay Weis live 34 feet from County Road 5 and with the county looking to widen the road, the Weis's bedroom window may be only 14 feet from passing semi's and cars.
The county has offered to buy land from home owners along County Road 5, as they look to widen the road to allow for safer travel, with more semi's using the road to get to and from towns like Leipsic and Ottawa. Many families worry about speeding traffic and semi's passing so close to their homes.
Young home owners Jason and Ella, fear for the future safety of their children, and believe the county should be looking to state routes for travel, and not County Road 5. With County Road 5 saving truck drivers 6 to 7 miles as they head to Leipsic and other towns, the county will continue to look to improve safety along County Road 5, even though many home owners remain upset.
