LIMA, OHIO -
A fundraiser within a fundraiser nets nearly $3,400 for the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton.
Representatives from Shawnee Middle School, Liberty Arts Magnet, North Middle School, and Allen East Elementary presenting checks to restaurant owner Jerry Lewis. Students at all of the schools sold $10 peeler cards to raise money for extra activities. All combined, the students raised about $15,000 for their schools. On top of that, one dollar from each card sold is donated to the Ronald McDonald House charities.
Last year, 11 families from Allen County stayed at the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton.
The Toledo Ronald McDonald House provided accommodations for eight families from Allen County, 24 from Hardin County, and four from Van Wert County.
