Women's Expo provides plenty of gifts for Mother's Day

Just in time for those procrastinators who held off on getting that present for Mother's Day.

Shawnee Manor held its first ever Shop, Show, and Tell Women's Expo at Apollo Career Center on Saturday.

More than 40 vendors were on hand selling things mom would love like cosmetics, handmade soaps, purses and candles. Chocolates and cheesecakes were said to be the favorite items.

It was a good turnout for the first event of its kind and the hope is to see growth every year.

All the proceeds from the event will help fund the residents' annual trip to a Cincinnati Reds game this summer.
