The State Highway Patrol is looking for some dedicated people to help contribute to a safer Ohio.
Recruiters say the State Highway Patrol is looking to hire between 200 and 250 cadets in Ohio over the next year. Highway Patrol Academy classes are coming up in September, November, and February.
Minimum requirements include having U.S. citizenship, being between 20 and 34 years old, and holding a high school degree or GED. But the hiring process is intense with physical fitness tests and background exams. Current troopers say their career includes great benefits and little risk of layoffs.
