The Lima News has a new owner. Freedom Communications have agreed to the sale of The Lima News and three other newspapers to Testor FCI Acquisitions. The sale is expected to close within the next 30 days.
All current employees will be make the transition to the new company. According to a statement from Versa Capital Management, the parent company of Testor, CEO Gregory Segall, says they are pleased to have reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Freedom's central division to add to our growing platform of community newspaper assets, including Ohio Community Media. The Ohio Community Media already owns 14 daily and 30 weekly newspapers.
