The Salvation Army's 125th Anniversary Kickoff Luncheon
2013 will be a big year for the Lima Salvation Army, the local movement that helps fulfill residents needs, will turn 125 years old next year.
To get the word out to local leaders and supporters, the Salvation Army held a 125th Anniversary Kickoff Luncheon on Thursday. Those in attendance heard about the Army's mission, the work they do locally, and the support that allows them to give Christmas gifts and school supplies, and provide many other services each and every year.
The Salvation Army has been in Lima since November 18th, 1888. Plans are still in the works for next year's anniversary.
