The 'Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation' or WORTH Center has been around for a couple of decades. Despite its age, it is still considered to be on the cutting edge of rehabilitation and corrections.
The center is not a prison, but it does confine residents that need help with chemical dependency, education, and many other issues. Friday, an open house was held to allow the public to see what the WORTH Center offers.
The WORTH Center is a busy place because of drug related issues such as prescription drugs and others. Also because the state has put pressure on judges to not send felony 4 and 5 offenders to prison, instead sending them to facilities like WORTH or put them on probation.
