Keeping kids off drugs is the main goal of the DARE program.
On Friday more than 160 fifth graders from Elida graduated from the program.
The DARE program has been in schools across the country for many years and is about to undergo some curriculum changes.
Allen County Sheriff's Sergeant, Mike White, who teaches the DARE classes will be re-trained this summer.
White says the DARE program has proven successful in keeping kids off of drugs.
Students received DARE completion certificates as well as academic awards for being tops in their class.
