Shawnee Township fatal crash

A car crash in Shawnee Township claims the life of an elderly Wapakoneta woman.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Spencerville and Kemp Roads in Shawnee Township around 10:20 Tuesday morning for a car versus semi collision. Sergeant Craig Hoffer of the Shawnee Township Police Department says 80 year old Lilliy Hollon was headed north on Kemp Road. She stopped at the intersection, but then pulled in front of a semi truck headed eastbound on Spencerville. She died on the scene. Sgt. Hoffer says she did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt. The Allen County Sheriff's crash team is assisting in the investigation. A portion of Spencerville Road was shut down for about three hours because of the crash.
