June is Ohio Wine month.
Ohio's wine industry has grown significantly throughout the years.
According to a 2008 economic impact report, Ohio's grape and wine industry generates more than 580 million dollars in economic activity employing more than 41 hundred people with a payroll of more than 124 million dollars.
You may not have known it but you don't have to travel all that far to find a local winery.
Patrons of the Jubilee Winery are celebrating the good life, with good friends and great wines.
The winery, east of Delphos opened October first and has found a loyal clientele.
No grapes are grown locally, but the magic of making the wine takes place in a back room with owners Rodney Courtney, Paul Wagner and their wives.
It's a small operation that started as a hobby according to Courtney.
Jubilee Winery produces about one thousand bottles of wine in a month.
Their customers often help them determine the right mix of wines to make.
Jubilee Winery is open Thursday's and Friday's from 4 to 10 pm and Saturdays from 2 to 10 pm.
They are located in the Elite Naturescape building on Elida road just east of Delphos.
