After a five month long investigation, the Grand Lake Drug Task Force arrests 17 people on drug trafficking charges. In total 19 people were indicted by the Auglaize County Grand Jury.
The charges stem from the sales of heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, bath salts, and prescription medications. Those arrested were from Auglaize, Mercer, and Allen counties in Ohio, and Wells County, Indiana.
Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon says heroin remains the biggest threat in Auglaize County. However, bath salt use had been picking up, until information was shared with Allen County.
During the arrests, two vehicles were impounded as well as a substantial amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
