Motorcycles Blessed by Pastor

Two area Methodist churches come together for a special blessing for members who ride motorcycles. The Harrod and Maysville United Methodist Churches came together for their first ever "Blessing of the Bikes." Following a church service full of prayer and worship, men and women hopped on their bikes for a blessing by Pastor Roger Emerson.

Organizers say the idea came about as a way to stretch out the Pork Rind Festival which wrapped up on Saturday. Although the turnout was lower than expected, organizers hope to expand on the 30 bikes that showed up as they look to make the Blessing of the Bikes an annual event.
