The list officially grew Wednesday related to the number of United Steelworker Local 624 union members that have crossed their fellow workers picket line.
At another informational meeting held Wednesday union leadership confirmed 6 more workers have resigned their union membership and crossed the picket line to return to work.
That brings the total to 7.
Union President Mike Edelbrock doesn't know if more will follow, but he says the letter from the company this week that sparked the union defection shows Husky's desperation.
Edelbrock doesn't know what the company is trying to accomplish by advertising for replacement workers before last weeks talks and the letter before talks this week.
He is anxious to see what the company's response is to their most recent proposals.
To help union members out during a time they have no income, food was being distributed Wednesday. Non-perishable items along with some frozen chickens and turkeys.
In response to Edelbrock's comments about the letter this week is the company's "cry for help". A Husky spokesman would only say "operations at the refinery are normal".
He says they will meet with the union on Thursday and continue to bargain in good faith.
Contract talks resume at 10am Thursday.
