Changes could soon be coming to the City of Lima's hiring process. The Human Resources Committee revisited it's Rule of 3.
When filling positions within the city prospective employees take a test. Three of those who scored a 70 percent or higher are then interviewed for the position. Wednesday night the committee decided to change the Rule of 3 to a Rule of 10.
"It's been a concern of the community as well as council and the administration regarding some of the hiring processes and if we can expand the number that we can pick from that would certainly give us more of an option or more of a choice," Human Resources Committee Chair Paige Townsend, said.
The full city council will now take up the issue and have the final vote of whether to change the Rule of 3.
