Hours after tragedy it's business as usual in Lima's Town Square

It's a mix of Juneteenth and a Fathers Day celebration in downtown Lima.
Despite a tragedy in the same location Friday night, a local church is moving forward with their activities on the square.

For Tim Callahan and his son Tra, this weekend's Father II Father event in Lima's town square is a bonding experience.

The Father II Father event is an outreach of the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church in Lima.

A heavy rain late in the afternoon slowed things down for a time, but it was not the only thing that cast a pall over the event. Hours earlier a woman crashed into a crowd of people at Friday night's Rally in the Square.

Reverend Lamont Monford said he was not concerned something similar could happen during their event.
