Annual festival raises money for small town's fire department - Hometownstations.com-WLIO- Lima, OH News Weather Sports

With budgets thinning statewide, more and more community agencies are relying on the generosity of others to maintain services.

That's why the Buckland Fire Department continues to hold their annual Fireman's Festival.

This year is the 40th year the department has organized the festival in downtown Buckland, but the department has been around for more than 100 years.

All of the money raised from the games, chicken dinners, and 5K run goes back to the department. Funds pay for new gear and equipment.
