Two more people hurt in Friday night's accident during Rally in the Square go home from the hospital. Two more are still at St. Rita's Medical Center. One has been downgraded to stable condition. The other is in critical, but stable condition. They along with more than 20 others were hurt when a car crashed into a crowd of people in Lima's Town Square.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing at this time, but while police focus on the investigation, talks have started swirling about the future of the event. Council President John Nixon is approaching the matter in a calm and cautious manner, and says no legislation is slated for this weeks council meeting. He and other council members plan to wait for the investigation to wrap up and for all of the facts to come forth.
While no legislation is slated to be presented, Nixon doesn't rule out the topic as a discussion point -- it may be brought up during tomorrow nights "Miscellaneous Business."
