Attacks on Robb Ave. Overpass

Posted: Updated:
Lima Ohio -

Over the weekend, six drivers found themselves stopped on the Robb Ave. overpass after their vehicles were damaged by rocks thrown from below. Police responded to the scene after receiving calls from scared drivers, who reported three teens, described as male and black, hit their vehicles with rocks while driving on Robb Avenue.

One of those drivers, Veronica Cramer, was driving over the overpass when she heard a loud noise, and found herself pulling off of the road with a broken windshield.

Unable to locate the suspects, Sergeant John Bishop of the Lima Police Department says while the incident was mainly physical damage to the vehicles, one driver did leave the scene with minor cuts to his hand after his driver side window shattered. Like any incident such as this one, police have increased patrols in the Robb overpass area, but assure residents that in doing so, they are not jeopardizing their patrols elsewhere.
