LIMA, OHIO -
The Allen County Treasurer's Office is forging new partnerships, in an effort to make paying property taxes easier for residents.
The second half of taxes for this year are due on Friday, July 13th. Now, instead of driving to the courthouse during regular business hours, tax payers can instead pay at many area banks and credit unions.
Partners include Chase Bank, Superior Federal Credit Union, Huntington Bank, and Union Bank.
One of the reasons for the partnership is because the banks and credit unions have extended evening and weekend hours that aren't available at the courthouse. People who use this option must drop off their payment with their bill stub.
