The program gives the county the resources to evaluate property before a zoning permit is issued. The idea is to find potential problems on the land before someone builds on the property and it becomes a problem.

The review looks at things like drainage, floodplains, soil types, and setbacks based on zoning regulations.

The one year grant takes effect immediately.
