Near drowning at Econo Lodge

A little boy nearly drowns this afternoon while swimming at a hotel pool.

The 8 year old was found at the bottom of the deep end of the pool at the Econo Lodge off of S.R. 81.
Surveillance video shows he was underwater for more than 6 minutes.
Another pool-goer found him and pulled him to the surface.
The boy was unresponsive.. but did show signs of life and was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital.
