Kenton has a soft spot for an old country crooner and this weekend they're celebrating his life.
Every year Hardin County comes together to remember Gene Autry, the singing cowboy. Autry was very popular in the 1930's as both an entertainer and an actor.
Autry even lent his name to a series of cap guns that were made in Kenton. In fact, when Autry visited the Kenton Hardware Company in 1938 his order for the toy guns saved many jobs in the community.
This was the 19th year for Gene Autry Days.
