Ham radio operators across the country take part in an annual event called Field Day. It's where they try to make as many contacts as possible in a 24 hour period.
In Findlay the amateur radio club was set up near Camp Berry.
The exercise replicates conditions in case of a disaster where the only power operators can use is by generator or by battery.
Club President Bill Kelsey says they were able to make contact with other amateurs in nearly every state.
