Ohio Northern University receives a grant from the USDA to help local businesses.
The school's entrepreneurship program got more than $90,000 dollars to help start and grow local businesses. Just twenty businesses will receive assistance from ONU.
In order to qualify for help, businesses must have a staff of less than fifty people and their annual sales amount should be less than 1 million dollars. Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship Tammy Schakett says the money will be used to educate business owners on a number of topics, including how to analyze markets and develop business plans.
The grant will assist businesses in Allen, Hancock, Hardin and Wyandot counties.
