Tonight marking Karel Oxley's last school board meeting as the superintendent of Lima City Schools.
The main purpose of tonight's meeting was to offer one last chance to honor Oxley and wish her the best of luck in her retirement. As the meeting came to a close, Oxley received a standing ovation as she turned her keys over to the newly elected superintendent Jill Ackerman.
Oxley also said that the hardest thing she feels Ackerman will have to face in the up coming months will be passing the school levy in November. She also is encouraging everyone to come out July 23rd to West Middle School to the levy meeting at 5pm.
