Allen county commissioners have declared a "State of Emergency" as the result of Friday's storms. Much of Allen county suffered some storm damage and many areas are still without power.
Emergency Management Agency Director Russ Decker says there's no need for the public to panic as the declaration isn't as serious as it sounds.
He says it's more of a formality so the county could become eligible for possible state or federal funding if it becomes available.
Decker says we could see more cooperation with state agencies as soon as Monday.
He says, for example, some Ohio Department of Transportation vehicles could soon be working alongside City of Lima workers to clear debris.
