Brian Schroeder is the morning and noon meteorologist on First and Noon Editions.
As a kid, Brian enjoyed watching thunderstorms develop and move across the flat farmland of Northwestern Minnesota. Coming from a farming community, Brian knows the important role weather plays in the economy and in people's lives.
Brian graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Atmospheric Science. After graduation, Brian moved to Texas, but he didn't like the heat or being called a Yankee. His next job brought him back north to Elmira, NY and the beautiful Finger Lakes region. He spent four years predicting the weather at WENY-TV. His next move was to Central Pennsylvania and the Allegheny Mountains. Brian worked for five years at WTAJ in Altoona, PA. Brian has spent the past four years working in the banking business in the Albany, NY area.
Brian has always enjoyed the weather and the challenge that forecasting brings. He is very happy to be back in the meteorology business and in Big 10 Country. Brian is a member of the National Weather Association
He is the proud father of two young boys, Patrick 8 and Collin 5 1/2.
