The storms causing wide spread damage happened exactly a week ago, but from the damage, you might guess it was only last night.
Officials in charge of the cleanup in Van Wert say they may only have 50 percent of the trees and branches picked up. While most of the large debris has been collected, the solid waste management district expects to be collecting smaller branches for the next six weeks. Luckily, power has been restored to most of the counties residents, meaning the only reason to be in the heat is to continue the cleanup effort on what may be one of the worst storms in Van Wert history.
