58 golfers took to the course at the Bluffton Golf Club this morning, not only to play a round, but to support a cause as well.
The fifth annual golf outing took place this morning, to help raise funds for the George Frazee Scholarship. It goes to a Bluffton University undergraduate student studying English or Theater.
Frazee was a regular guest on our show Noon Edition, and was heavily involved in the theater. George's wife Shirley chose to honor her husband by holding an event involving a sport George truly enjoyed.
Helping to keep the event interesting, golfers competed in fun challenges on various holes, something Shirley says her husband would have liked.
With another successful year in the books, Shirley says there is no reason the event shouldn't be back next year.
